Therefore, in recent years, Tengmei Metal has continued to invest in process and quality control, purchase more than 30 sets of Yizumi hot chamber magnesium alloy die-casting machine, and establish performance, size, appearance process control to achieve high-quality delivery of the products. In 2018, the quality and delivery of Tengmei Metal ranked first among the suppliers of vivo magnesium alloy parts.

Prepare for 5G and build new aluminum alloy die casting production line

With the mature supply of magnesium alloy middle plate for mobile phones and the product transformation of customer manufacturers, Tengmei began to focus on aluminum alloy castings last year, thus securing the entrance ticket to 5G mobile phones.

According to Sun Jiaqian, more and more mobile phone applications, increasing CPU load, resulting in heat, especially in the 5G era with stronger signal reception, heat will be more serious, so better heat dissipation of aluminum alloy will be the general trend.

Therefore, Tengmei metal resolutely to invest in the development of aluminum alloy plate, research and development of new mold, and in the end of 2018 successively purchased 19 Yizumi DM cold chamber die casting machines. "From magnesium alloy to aluminum alloy, we choose to cooperate with Yizumi because we believe Yizumi's strength and experience in the die casting field, and it is exactly the case. According to our production results, Yizumi die casting machine can meet the requirements of technology and capacity very well," said Sun Jiaqian.

During the transformation, OPPO and vivo also offered an olive branch to Tengmei metal. In the second half of 2018, the two manufacturers launched the project development of aluminum alloy middle plate for 5G mobile phone. To this, Tengmei technical director Li Junzhong said: "compared with 4G bezel-less mid-board, the new products have many new challenges, the size is larger, the structure is more complex, and there are much higher requirements for the antenna position and technologies.

After pre-research together with OPPO and vivo, now Tengmei metal has successfully realized the development and trial-production of new products, with the height tolerance controlled within ±0.015mm, and the overall deformation degree of products reaching ±0.15mm.

As for the investment of new projects in the future, Sun is very confident: "in the next two years, 5G mobile phone medium plates will adopt aluminum alloy materials, from research and development to production line, we are all ready to seize the opportunity to meet the arrival of 5G era."
