Damp-proof Measures For Injection Molding Machine in Rainy Season
With the end of the Spring Festival, many manufacturers continued to operate and started new round of production. Because of the half-a-month machine downtime in Chinese New Year holidays and wet weather in spring, it is necessary for injection molding machines users to check the machines before use. In addition, special maintenance work shall be done to ensure safety operation of the machines in spring.
Before starting the machine:
1. Check whether there is water and oil in the electrical cabinet. If the electrical elements get damp, do not start the machine until the maintenance personnel dry the electrical parts.
2. Check whether the emergency stop switch and front safety door switch are normal. Check whether the rotation direction of the motor and pump is the same.
3. Check whether all moving parts are lubricated. If not, apply sufficient lubricating oil to them.
4. Check the power supply voltage, which generally should not exceed ± 6% of the standard.
5. Check whether the cooling pipes are unblocked. Get the cooling water passed into the oil cooler and the cooling water jacket on the top of barrel.
6. Cover the barrel with heat shield so as to save energy and prolong the life of heater band and AC contactor.
7. Get each section of the barrel heated. Maintain the temperature for a period after it meets the requirement so that the temperature of machine gets stable. The temperature holding time differ for different equipment and plastic materials.
8. If the machine is not in operation for a long time, use a multimeter to check whether there is a short circuit before starting the machine. Ensure safety before switching on the machine.
It is necessary to know and do basic things above before using the injection molding machines, which is to ensure that no problem occurs in the use of machines and to facilitate the maintenance work.
Precautions against damp in spring and rainy season:
In China, the rainy season starts from March to May every year, and many parts in the injection molding machine are affected by the wet season. To ensure the machine functions well, it is necessary to take damp-proof measures specific to parts in the machine, for example, putting desiccants in the electrical components of the injection molding machine, spraying anti-rust oil on the exposed parts, particularly the screws, etc.
