"H-type Parallel Quartet" Machines Were Delivered to Marelli

Abstract:

YIZUMI first batch of "H-type parallel quartet" multi-component injection molding machines were successfully delivered to marelli for mass production.

In recent years, following the rapid development of new energy vehicles (NEVs), automakers are striving to find new processes and technologies to improve the functionality and expressiveness of auto trims.

As one of the most important parts of a vehicle, car lights are being improved in functionality and decoration. The designs are also becoming more innovative, technological, and diversified, which poses higher requirements and challenges to vehicle light suppliers. For example, headlights often adopt beautiful two-color designs. Taillights use two-color, three-color, or four-color designs, and the mainstream design of NEVs often employs run-through tail light style, while the light guide products tend to be thick-walled.

In the future, with the rapid growth of NEVs, the demand for multi-color, multi-component, ultra-large, thick lenses, thick light guides, new materials, and new processes will become more and more obvious. Challenges come with opportunities.

In response to the changing needs of the NEV market, Marelli, as the leader in the car lights industry, takes the lead in purchasing several YIZUMI 1400T-1850T "H-type parallel quartet" multi-component injection molding machines ("H-type parallel quartet" machines) for mass production of tricolor and run-through taillights, thick-walled light guides, and other products.

Compared with P+L-type quartet injection molding solution from other manufacturers, YIZUMI's "H-type Parallel Quartet" machine is characterized by a smaller footprint and a more compact structure of the injection units. The four independently controlled injection units can adapt to the needs of a variety of molds to meet the flexible and efficient production of two-color, three-color, and four-color products.

Highlights of "H-type Parallel Quartet" machines:

1. Modular design: four injection units are located on the side of the fixed mold in quadrangular structure, contributing to a more compact structure and smaller footprint.

2. Flexible and adaptable: produce two-color, three-color, four-color, thick-walled light guides, and layered injection molding products according to product mold requirements.

3. The German pintle valve technology perfectly matches the three-position rotary mold, which can rotate 120 degrees in the same direction without any concern for the knotting of the water and oil lines.

4. The turntable servo motor drive with digital closed-loop positioning control (DCPC) technology offers fast rotation speed and accurate positioning.

5. Innovative molding application for multi-color headlights: the molding of red body part of the headlight is conducted by two injection units, while the black and clear parts are respectively by the other two injection units, thus shortening the injection time and reducing the length of the runner to improve efficiency and product quality.

In addition, compared with imported equipment, our "H-type parallel quartet" multi-component injection molding machines not only meet the localization of the supply chain but also have higher cost-effectiveness.
