SpaceA 3D Printer Takes Technology One Step Closer to Reality

On April 17th, the 35th International Exhibition on Plastics and Rubber Industries (CHINAPLAS 2023) opened successfully at Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center! At booth 7D61, YIZUMI is showcasing its cutting-edge SpaceA Industrial Pellet 3D Printing and printed products.

After more than 30 years of expansion alongside China's plastics and rubber industry, CHINAPLAS has grown to be the largest plastics and rubber trade event in Asia and has promoted the development of China's plastics and rubber industry. In the meantime, the exhibition has set aside a space for 3D printing to display its latest technology and concentrate on the growth of the industry.

In collaboration with Ms. Mo Jiao, a professor from College of Design and Innovation of Tongji University, YIZUMI Industrial Pellet 3D Printing presented a "New Inheritance of Flower Drum" as one of its application examples for producing art furniture. By using 3D printing technology, we are able to bring technology closer to life and enrich it to create useful items which are accessible in everyday life.

New Inheritance of Flower Drum

The "New Inheritance of Flower Drum" series of tables and stools share a common ancestors with Chinese five-legged furniture. Features a more varied circular surface and the arch’s structural support, presenting an abstract and competent shape that draws attention to the seat surface and inspires a wide range of decorative styles that go beyond the reality.

Also, a demonstration of the printing process is brought to the show.

Fountain Lamp

The design of Fountain lamp is from Yang Weijie, visiting professor at Tongji University. The product draws inspiration from the fountain water, gives full play to the freedom of 3D printing technology, reflects the superiority of 3D printing processing materials and product, and maximizes the degree of showing the form and material advantages of the product. The shape-like fountain water gushing integrates the natural form with the indoor space, which can be applied to a variety of scenes, reflecting the high-style atmosphere.

Adopting a 6-axis robot system, the machine has a large molding space that can be used to produce large plastic parts.

With the application of screw extrusion units in 3D printing, the machine can be used to process traditional plastic pellets. It can reduce costs and improve efficiency. Meanwhile, it’s compatible with highly filled and fiber-reinforced compounds.

Automation potential. After the conveyor belt is set up, the YIZUMI industrial 3D printing machine functions as a 24-hour continuous manufacturing system. It only consumes 0.8 kWh/kg of energy, which is among the low energy utilization rates.

Excellent expandability. The tools on the machine arm can be switched and combined at will.

Key technology

Compact extruder design：

The base mechanism is designed with a coaxial feed section and storage unit.

Weighing 6.5kG in total, the machine can increase printing flexibility and provide enough space for expansion.

Six-axis positioning system：

The automated production process and the six-axis robot's repeat positioning accuracy of 0.05mm are both completely guaranteed.

Standard industrial control system：

By integrating the data from the entire machine and presenting it in a unified manner, the specific standard industrial control system could realize the technique of human-machine interaction with complex ergonomic design.

Meanwhile, YIZUMI displays a new brand image at CHINAPLAS 2023, with a new logo and brand connotations. On the basis of inheriting the classic corporation elements, the new logo is used a flat design to illuminate YIZUMI's new concept of "Sustainable, innovative technology for humankind", and conveys YIZUMI's determination to go international to global customers.
