Abstract:
Yizumi Buys New Land to Further Expand the North American Market
On Nov.27, HPM North America Corporation, a subsidiary of Yizumi Group, successfully bid for 7-acre (28327 sqm) land with attached building and equipment in Morrow County, Ohio. The newly-bought property includes 20,694 square feet of manufacturing space as well as six offices.
In 2011, Yizumi purchased all intellectual property of the 100-year-old former HPM and established HPM North America in Ohio. The company had rented two buildings as an office and a manufacturing plant which covered an area of 37,000 ft2 in Marion before acquiring the new land and building.
Yizumi Deputy Managing Director James Zhang said the rented factory was about 3 miles away from the office; and the staff of HPM NA had to commute between the two buildings, which was inconvenient for management and wasted time.
“The new property will enable us to integrate the space for manufacturing and office, enhance work efficiency, further improve management, lay a better foundation for HPM’s future development and help us reduce the rental cost,” Zhang said.
HPM NA will finish upgrading and renovating the new factory and office as soon as possible to meet the needs of operation and management. The current rented factory will be gradually closed down when the new one is put into use.
Moreover, HPM NA will also reposition itself to focus on product R&D, sale and service. Manufacturing of the machine will be completed by Yizumi in China.
The purchase of new land and factory also reflects Yizumi and HPM NA’s confidence in North America manufacturing.
Since September, HPM has not only obtained an order for a 4500T die casting machine from well-known North American auto part manufacturer Walker Die Casting, but also sold the machine at NADCA Die Casting Exposition 2015.
"Judging from the orders and trade show feedback of this year, we can see the North American manufacturing has been recovering. The acquisition of new land and building will help HPM catch up with the wave of recovery and further expand the North American market,” James Zhang said.
