Yizumi to Debut Five Application-oriented Processes at CHINAPLAS 2018

Compared with machines, application solutions are more likely to strike a chord in the market. In recent years, Yizumi has focused on the development of application solutions through the integration with European advanced technology. At CHINAPLAS 2018, Yizumi will release and demonstrate various new technologies to the world: FoamPro + DecoPro, MultiPro, OpticPro and PacPro.

“We are now entering the Pro age,” said Richard Yan, Managing Director of Yizumi. He pointed out that nowadays customers were not looking for machines, but solutions. Yizumi focuses on applicationsand pays attention to the real needs of customers. Onone hand, Yizumi constantly enriches the expertise in injection molding machines; on the other hand, Yizumi works closely with European R&D institutes and partners such as IKV (Plastics Processing Institute of Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen, Germany) and AZL (Aachen Lightweight Design Center) to introduce European-original or market-oriented processes, for providing customers with cutting-edge and the most cost-effective technical solutions.

FoamPro + DecoPro: Solution to Automotive Decoration Part Upgrade

At CHINAPLAS, Yizumi will mold a car engine cover with a well foamed surface and aluminum foil decoration through FoamPro+DecoPro, the processes launched for the upgrade of automotive decorative parts.

Glory Chen, the Head of Yizumi New Materials and Processes Test Center of Yizumi, told reporter that FoamPro process delivered part weight reduction and better surface quality, exactly as shown at CHINAPLAS 2017. DecoPro, the newly added process for surface decoration, integrates in-mold graining (IMG) technology and back injection technology and permits one-step molding with the aluminum foil, a special surface treatment with LyondellBasell PIT technology, reducing equipment investment and operating procedures compared to the traditional two-step process, and significantly lowering the production costs. “The aluminum foil not only adds metallic luster and better touch to the car hood, but also plays a role in reducing the noise and cooling of the hood as it can reflect infrared rays.”

Overall, the combination of FoamPro and DecoPro processes can meet the demand for decorative materials such as metal, leather, and veneer. It can reduce the part weight by 30%, shorten the cycle time by more than 15%, eliminate warpage and shrinkage, reduce costs and bring exquisite foil surface decoration.

It is worth mentioning that the demonstration of FoamPro and DecoPro processes was completed by Yizumi and GK Concept, SINGLE, AKROMID and LyondellBasell from Germany, Italy’s HRSflow and many other global partners, embodying Yizumi’s determination and sincerity of “Connect Chinese and European Technology”.

Pro generation: targeting multi-component and LSR molding

From the perspective of application, Yizumi also set its sights on the fields with large demand, such asmulti-component and LSR molding. The C-series high-end multi-component injection molding machine with the application of MultiPro process will produce 400 ml two-color cups on site at CHINAPLAS. MultiPro allows flexible and quick combinations of modular injection units of different types and sizes based on different applications, to meet individual needs and achieve two-color, three-color and multi-component injection molding with special materials.

In the LED industry, high liquid silicone material (LSR) molding is becoming the new favorite of the market. Compared with traditional PC molding, liquid silicone allows more product design freedom and it is resistant to heat and UV resistance, resulting in higher QC rate and production efficiency. Yizumi’s OpticPro process to be shown at CHINAPLAS 2018 is specific to LSR optical part molding. The FF series all-electric injection molding machine, which was jointly designed by Yizumi and its European partners, will produce LSR street light lens on site with the realization of fully-automatic part removal and packing.

For the packaging industry, the critical value lies in efficiency that may be measured by 0.1 or even 0.01 seconds. Yizumi PacPro thin-walled injection molding technology focuses on the improvement of efficiency and providing customers with cost-effective solutions. At CHINAPLAS, the PAC series machine can produce IML thin-walled plastic cups within 3 seconds in a four-cavity mold. The machine and mold are all independently designed and manufactured by Yizumi.

In addition to the above new processes, Yizumi will also showcase the A5S upgraded version of the standard high-end servo injection molding machine, which will demonstrate molding of trigger sprayers in a 24-cavity mold. As a general injection molding machine, the A5S can meet the needs of various industries such as cosmetics packaging, offering solutions to different applications.
