Abstract:
The First Swop Opens This Morning
The last anticipated event for the packaging sector of the year —swop—officially opened at 9:00 AM this morning and it would last until November 20. Swop was held in five exhibition halls of Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) and attracted more than 700 exhibitors from 25 countries. The exhibition covered a number of industries, such as food, beverage, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and logistics.
To coincide with the exhibition, Yizumi showed the latest intelligent automation solutions, which embodied the development trend and advanced technology of domestic high speed injection molding of packaging. One of the exhibits was the PAC350K production system which was equipped with a 4-cavity mold and demonstrated high-speed injection molding of thin-wall fast food containers on-site.
The other high-speed injection molding system for packaging on show was PAC300 which demonstrated the production of 5ml syringe barrels with a 48-cavity mold. PAC series was designed with the features of high rigidity, high injection speed, fast response and excellent configuration; the thin-wall injection molding machines in PAC series are widely applied to the efficient production of bottle caps, thin-wall packaging and medical parts, etc.
In addition, two sets of PET molds—a 72-cavity mineral water bottle preform mold and a 32-cavity beverage preform mold—developed and manufactured by Yizumi also made the first appearance at the exhibition.
There would be large-scale and high value-added industry forums held during the four-day swop. One of the notable concurrent events would be the procurement conference and technical forum held on the morning of November 17th, which offered a business platform for the manufacturers, suppliers and end-customers of the packaging industry.
